The minimum requirements to be able to install windows 8 are:

• Processor: 1GHz or higher for 32 or 64 bit
• RAM: 1 Gb for the 32 bit version, 2Gb for the 64 bit version.
• Hard Drive: 16 Gb for 32 bit and minimum 20 Gb for 64 bit version.
